Couple demos i've made (no python)

Post by Appolonius »

First off.. anyone who says you need python to do cool stuff in blender should be pushed down some stairs(intro for my ragdoll demo) ;)

3 demos

NO PYTHON USED(im way to lazy to learn it)

Ragdoll Demo (use 2.43 preview 7d) http://www.box.net/public/72taqbyacb
Realtime Water Demo (use 2.42) http://www.box.net/public/ve0stkbtal
RealTime Tornado (use 2.42) http://www.box.net/public/gd92xca0m6

the water demo uses the arrows to move.
the tornado demo uses wasd.

I didn't care about what the demos looked like only about how they would work.
These are first tries, but i will probably never look at them again. I never know...
I just keep making more/different demos. Hopefully i will have more soon.

Hi Appolonius,

I tried your 3 demos with build 7d OS X on my Intel Duo iMac. The ragdoll and tornado demos work, but the "realtime water" demo doesn't seem to work. What exactly are we supposed to be seeing in this demo? All I see are a box that appears to be moving with cursor keys and a blue "bubble" of sorts. Frame rate is about 1 fps. Is there something else I may be missing? Thanks!

Please try preview 7e instead, preview7d didn't work for that.
I haven't checked the water demo yet, I think it requires Blender 2.42, not the new preview built. The preview builds are not fully functional yet, and have issues.

Duh! Sorry about that. The water and tornado work quite nicely under 2.42a.

Now that I know what it's supposed to look like, I guess build 7d was working, just extremely slowly.

I'll go look for that 7e build now, hopefully there's one for Intel Macs...

Thanks bigkahuna , and erwin :)

I've got a new ragdoll demo and a basic ragdoll for people to play with and post thier stuff.

Ragdoll on a (really badly made) trampoline http://www.box.net/public/30te5sn0g7

Test Doll for people to use -> http://www.box.net/public/vpe508evxv

I'm not sure why i don't use python(probably cause I'm lazy), but i like to do stuff with the logic bricks people say cant be done...
