The Position:
Field Application Engineer, Content Acquisition

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Ensure developers have all the technical information they need to include PhysX features in their game, and support them during creation and testing of those features.

DESCRIPTION:

?Consult in depth with game developers planning PhysX usage in their games.
?Advise developers on different application-level approaches to maximizing PhysX in their games
?Become AGEIA technical expert on key titles, including game architecture, tool chain, graphics engine, content creation process, and milestones
?Advocate internally for needed features, and provide all necessary technical data to product marketing and engineering
?Identify windows for technology change in a game?s development schedule, and cross-reference with AGEIA roadmap to determine possible PhysX features
?Build long-term relationship with key developer and publisher technical decision makers and influencers
?Utilize Parature support system to answer developer questions, create use cases, and resolve issues
?Reproduction of ?bugs? and logging them within TestTrackPro
?Log interactions with developers at a high level, and track MBOs using Salesforce
?Provide technical presentations and technology demos at trade shows and to prospects

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
?4+ years of 3D graphics or game programming experience, including experience on a shipped product
?Ability to work with teams, interpret schedules, and negotiate milestones
?Robust C/C++ coding, debugging and testing skills
?Practical understanding of 3D graphics algorithms and mathematics
?Experience working with Direct3D and/or OpenGL
?Extensive knowledge with optimizing application runtimes for various 3D graphics pipelines
?Exemplary oral and written communication skills with experience addressing various audiences: technical, business, financial, project management
?Proven experience working as part of a cross-functional team
?Demonstrated consultative customer management skills, including expectation setting, collaborative problem resolution, selling of services/capabilities
?Established ability to take initiative to drive physics features in games
?Willingness to travel up to 2 weeks per month
?Conduct technical and business discussions in English

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

?Knowledge in physics simulation programming
?Knowledge of AGEIA technology, as well as competitive software and related videogame platforms
?Experience working as developer support engineer in related field (graphics, audio, compilers)
?Familiarity with advanced research in the field of simulation for computer graphics
?Ability to speak one or more European Languages

MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION:
BS/BA Computer Science, Physics or Mathematics
MS preferred
