Fencing Duel
The goal is a prototype realistic sword fighting game. Most games I have seen focus on combos and special actions or just stats for hit chances and damage. I want to create a game that gives the player as much freedom and control as possible. This should give a more accurate representation of combat. For example attacks have to be parried correctly to be deflected. I will focus on fencing because I know it from experience.
The concept turns out to be an excellent mini game as it focusses completely on The Duel, which lasts around a minute or less. And how much physics can you add to a game based on ragdolls, leverage and accurate collision detection :)

First principle [3]
The game also has an AI demo mode which you can watch real time in better quality than the Youtube videos (F1 through F8 for different camera positions and +/- for gamespeed control)
Future
Some plans did not make the deadline, but here is an outlook on my future plans:
-Dagger attack and parry
-Advanced AI with many tunable controls
-Injuries that affect your movement (limping etc) & appear as blood stains
-Facial expressions/ blinking eyes
-Character customization
-Flappy & swinging ragdoll clothing
Notes
The game requires Blender 2.49b, or a late build of 2.49a. It does not run on older Blender versions
The network requires python installation to work
To host a game on the internet behind a router you will have to forward ports: 11051, 11052, 11053
If you find the game too easy turn up the gamespeed (+/-)
