getMotionState() after btBulletWorldImporter

Hi,
When I save a scene using btDefaultSerializer and then reload it using btBulletWorldImporter, it seems that all but one of the objects return a null when using getMotionState(). Am I missing anything, or is this normal? I'm using svn r2286.
