Bullet Physics changeable to 2D type physics?

Post by goldentaiji »

:D I want to know if bullet physics could be changed directly to 2D physics with just a click or selection. Say maybe in world settings "Apply physics [2d,3d]". It'll be very usefull for just 2d based games that might just want to use 3d graphics.

 Yeah, I know about the use of constraints, restraining the 3d objects onto a particular plane. However, that doesn't work 100% of the time it sometimes it still ends up shifting the object outside of say the z plane. Instead of being at 0 for z where it should be through the use of constraints. It might end up being at +1 or -1, something like that after several collisions with other 3d objects.

If it doesn't require too much of an effort, it'd be great if you can provide an option for it.
