Hi,

it would be really great if the classes in the softbody module could have virtual methods throughout so you can tweak things by deriving off the bullet classes. As it is right now I don't see any way of getting stuff to work the way I need it to work without modifying the library code itself.

Well, it is open source, so you can just modify it yourself.
And if you feel like your changes are "production-value" (and you feel like sharing) you can submit them as patch proposal to the trunk.

I also have some personal changes made to bullet which are application specific (minor things) that have no place in the bullet trunk. If I have something that I would see as a generic bullet improvement I'd submit it as a patch. Easy as that :)
