Nvidia's new SDK, some physics based samples

Post by coderchris »

Nvidia just released their new SDK, featuring a ton of new samples for Directx 10 cards (which I unfortunately dont have one of)

http://developer.download.nvidia.com/SD ... mples.html

One of the really cool looking ones is the first one on the list, the deformable bodies simulator. In the whitepaper they describe that they are using the shape matching approch, but also have it handle collision detection between objects. Since im am unable to run it, I would be interested to know (if anybody else has a 8800) what kind of framerates you get.

They also have a couple other physicly based samples, such as 3d smoke simulation, and an improved cloth simulator

Makes me really want to go out and buy a dx 10 card :?
If only they werent so expensive...
