Physics Programmer | Lucasfilm Singapore | SGP | Full Time

Division: Handheld Development Team
Job Location: Singapore
Reports To: Lead Engineer
Status: Full time staff position/ Full Benefits

Major Responsibilities:
• Successful applicants will perform Physics Programming for current and next generation console titles
• Provide technical expertise to develop games or technologies in support of games
• Reliably create good quality, performance-minded code.
• Provide a complete task list and schedule for responsible work. These should be complete and accurate
• Assist less experienced engineers with the creation of their task lists and schedules. Inform other when the schedule is at risk
• Assist in the sharing of ideas and exploration of new practices to continually improve the quality of software development for the Company
• Provide leadership and insight to help the team avoid and overcome obstacles as they arise during development
• Provide coaching skills to help develop less experienced engineers
• Maintain a professional attitude during all stages of development
• Excel as a team member and strive to maximize team and departmental performance

Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in the creation and delivery of state-of-the-art, performance-minded games required
• Strong physics and math skills
• C/C++ experience required
• Preferred experience in working with articulated bodies and/or physical animation
• Preferred experience with third party physics engines: Havok, Ipion, Karma, Meqon, Novodex, ODE, etc.
• Preferred experience in developing in-house / proprietary physics engines
• Shipped multiple titles on target or related platforms
• Ability to work independently and to be self-directing required
• Excellent team and communication skills required
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent game experience
• Passion for making and playing innovative games
